Friday Inspirations

It’s time, once again to share the food bloggers who have inspired me during the week.

It’s been a crazy week for me. There’s been a lot of burning my candle at both ends! I’ve been preparing everything to launch the new Life, Lightly Salted blog. (coming very soon, I promise!) I’ve also taken a leap of faith and started my own business. (I’ll be sharing my new venture with everyone on Monday) During all of this I still found time to visit my fellow food bloggers for inspiration. I came across some very creative and wonderful dishes that I can’t wait to share with you!

Vanilla Kitchen made the most amazing sweet and salty combination…

White Chocolate Tropical Bark

Who can resist white chocolate, pineapple, coconut and macadamia nuts? I can’t wait to have one of these with a nice strong cup of Kenyan coffee.

Next…another treat for my sweet tooth..my friend Katherine made one of my childhood favorites.

Banana Pudding

Banana pudding is one of the dishes that takes me right back to my childhood. It was something that my Mother made in the Summer for a special treat after a long, lazy afternoon spent at the lake. This pudding makes me want to be 7 years old all over again!

Taking a break from the sweets, Lisa made Moroccan Chicken with Green Olives and Lemon.

Anyone who has ever eaten at my house knows how much I love cooking with lemon. And if you ask Phil, he can tell you all about my crazy obsession with olives…especially green ones. This dish absolutely sings to me! I can just look at it and almost taste the amazing lemon/olive flavors with the chicken. I am really looking forward to making this over the weekend!

Where have your inspirations come from this week?
